Billy & Jamie Kimbrell

William "Billy" Kimbrell, APRN

Billy Kimbrell has served the Escambia and Santa Rosa County communities in emergency medical services since 2000, beginning as an EMT and paramedic and later expanding his career into nursing and advanced practice. Since 2014, his clinical experience has also included critical-care flight nursing aboard the region's EMS helicopter. Raised in the Pace/Milton area, Billy attended Pace High School and is an alumnus of Pensacola State College, the University of West Florida, and Loyola University New Orleans.

Billy pairs his background in exercise science with his board certification and advanced practice training in family practice, along with decades of emergency and critical-care experience. This combination gives him a broad clinical perspective on primary care, preventive health, chronic disease management, metabolic health, physical function, and the role that movement and lifestyle can play in a patient's overall health. His approach emphasizes individualized evaluation, thoughtful use of laboratory data, appropriate treatment and ongoing monitoring rather than treating any one symptom or laboratory value in isolation.

Jamie Kimbrell

Jamie has served in emergency medical services since becoming an EMT in 2007. She spent nearly 15 years under the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, primarily within the Department of Public Safety, where her experience spanned both clinical and administrative roles. Raised in northern Pensacola, Jamie graduated from Tate High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida before leaving public service to focus on building and operating EliteRx.

Today, Billy and Jamie combine their clinical, public-safety and administrative backgrounds in leading EliteRx as a relationship-driven, direct-pay primary care practice. Their shared vision is centered on giving patients something increasingly difficult to find in healthcare: time to be heard, clear information, thoughtful medical care, and a team invested in the long-term trajectory of their health.

Married for more than 14 years, Billy and Jamie have two children and remain deeply connected to the Northwest Florida community they serve.

Brian Herbert

PA-C

A graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a retired Army Physician Assistant with twenty-six years of service, including fourteen years in the 75th Ranger Regiment as an infantryman, breacher, and leader, with five deployments across Afghanistan and Iraq.

A PA since 2011, Brian served with the 4/25th Airborne in Alaska, the 5th Ranger Training Battalion in Georgia, and spent his last four years with the 7th Special Forces Group supporting special operations in South America.

Since retiring he has specialized in hormone therapy, performance medicine, and orthopedic trauma. He enjoys fishing, kayaking, and hiking with his wife Hillary and their combined family.

Russell "Kevin" Broxson

APRN

A nurse practitioner with more than twenty years in healthcare and a background that spans the Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Med-Surg, long-term care, and ambulatory surgery. Along the way he has held leadership roles including Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing, Nursing Manager, and House Supervisor.

Kevin provides care across acute and primary-care settings, with particular focus on preventive health, hormone evaluation and management, testosterone replacement therapy, metabolic health, and medically supervised weight management. His approach emphasizes individualized treatment, appropriate lab monitoring, and evidence-based care that patients can sustain.

His emergency-medicine background gives him a distinctive perspective on proactive, long-term health. Outside the clinic he's into fitness, automotive performance, and entrepreneurship.

Steven "Shane" Dawsey

APRN

Shane brings more than twenty years of healthcare experience spanning emergency and critical care, surgery, metabolic and weight management, and transplant medicine. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating cum laude.

Before joining EliteRx, Shane served as an Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner and as a Lead Nurse Practitioner in bariatric, general, and minimally invasive surgery, caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. His background also includes extensive experience in organ donation and transplantation and nearly nine years of service as an Aeromedical Staging Clinical Nurse in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

At EliteRx, Shane brings that broad clinical perspective to comprehensive, individualized care, looking beyond a single symptom or lab value to understand the whole patient and help improve long-term health.

Jessica Rodriguez

APRN

A Pensacola native, military spouse, and mom of three boys. She earned her BSN at the University of West Florida in 2015 and her Master's in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati in 2022, and she specializes in diabetes management alongside primary and weight-loss care.

Jessica joined EliteRx in 2023 after admiring Billy's vision of prioritizing personalized care over insurance constraints and numbers on a chart.

My favorite part of working at EliteRx is supporting our weight loss patients on their journeys, witnessing their progress, and watching their lives change for the better.
